The hiring manager and all the engineers were super nice people. The only reason I declined the offer was that Montreal HR was extremely rude.
This was the rudest HR I have encountered. We talked over the phone to discuss compensation. There was some network issue, after which the HR got mad and started speaking rudely. On top of that, they sent me a lowballing offer.
Montreal HR, if you are reading this, please talk politely to potential candidates and do not try to bully them over the call. Your behavior might demotivate people from joining the company.
