Process

Applied online and was told to complete an online assessment using HackerRank. It involved two (or possibly three, I only recall two) LeetCode medium questions. I had seen one before, and for the other, I came up with the solution on the spot. I finished both questions in 20 minutes, though more than an hour was allocated.

One week later, I was invited for an onsite interview. The first hour involved two questions, both LeetCode easy (or one might have been medium, I'm not entirely sure). There was also a code review. I believe I identified every issue in the provided code. The remaining time was spent discussing company culture and my previous experiences. I believe I finished early, with about 10-15 minutes left for Q&A.

After the first hour, another team interviewed me in the same room. This interview included one LeetCode medium question. I didn't initially know the solution but took a stab at it. However, I made a small logical flaw, which they pointed out. I was able to quickly fix it and solve the question shortly thereafter. I was also given a design question, which is extremely straightforward if you have experience designing or architecting any kind of system or application. The rest of the time was spent discussing my previous work experience. Because I didn't solve the technical question as proficiently as I could have, I had less time for Q&A, but I inquired about team coordination and the similarities and differences between teams.

I received a verbal offer about two days after the interview, and the formal offer followed the next week.

I really liked the interviewers; I found them very friendly and engaging. HR was also polite and responsive.

Questions

If you are able to solve 90% of the LeetCode mediums within 15-20 minutes, this interview should be extremely easy.
