Applied on the SAP career portal. Received an email after a week to attend a voluntary online assessment with a 7-day deadline.
It consisted of 3 coding questions to be submitted within 24 hours of starting the assessment.
I could solve 2 out of 3 questions. Received automated results after submission.
Was contacted by a recruiter a week later to schedule an interview.
Scheduled for a 30-minute technical interview, the interviewer cancelled it on the day. It was rescheduled for a few days later with the same interviewer.
This time, he seemed available but least interested in conducting the interview. He started going through my resume during the interview and, without understanding my profile, began asking irrelevant technical questions. He was from a different background and didn't know the basics of JavaScript.
He somehow passed the time by asking irrelevant algorithm questions and about past project experience.
It all felt like he was forced to conduct my interview.
Right after the interview, my application status was changed to "Not selected".
This interview with SAP was a pathetic experience.
Algorithm to reverse a number
Algorithm to compare two strings
Past project experience: Which one did I like and why?
OOPS concepts: How is polymorphism used in JS?
Classes and inheritance
