Pros

Job security guaranteed, even if you will be laid off. Significant compensation would be offered, as well as opportunities to be integrated into other projects.

Management are friendly. HR is trying to be creative about the improvement of working conditions. Initiatives are welcome.

Cons

A lot of program management bureaucracies exist. Most profits are still generated by the main business, e.g., legacy R3 systems. As a result of blind obligations to backward compatibility, any serious reform of the main software is failing. Competitive power has been falling off for the last decade. Agile was implemented on paper, but as a result, the amount of bureaucrats increased instead of the intended decrease.

Advice to Management

Stop being cowards, start to implement real reforms, start to make bold moves.
