I decided to join SAP after looking into all the good reviews about the organization. However, work culture and work-life balance all depend on the team or LOB that you join.
From the past year that I have been working here, I do not see any of the "good review" points coming true. The team that I am part of has people with more than 10 years of experience. Bullying and harassing are very common because of their own insecurities. Lots of politics are being played, which would not allow a newcomer to stabilize at the workplace.
Favoritism is also part of this show, which leads to undeserving employees being rewarded and eventually promoted.
Work-life balance is zero now due to the stress that the workplace has induced.
Teams with employees who have more than 10 years of experience badly need re-structuring to enable a non-biased, healthy, approachable workplace.
Stop playing bad politics and instead live up to the company's core values.
There are 3 rounds of interviews. The first round will be with a senior team member who will screen you. Based on this initial round, you will then be called for another round with the Hiring Manager, and finally, an HR round.
There was an initial online test. Once I got through it, I received a call for a one-on-one, on-site interview. I had a couple of technical interviews back-to-back, followed by an HR interview to decide on compensation and role.
It was good they asked technical questions from Java, SQL, HTML, JavaScript. Few of programming questions like find the second largest array, pattern programming, data structures. Where will you see in next 5 years? Asked to write queries.
