No room for real innovation and progress – SAP is a typical large corporation where political games and internal power struggles hinder progress. While the company preaches innovation externally, many employees in reality experience a sluggish, inefficient way of working characterized by bureaucracy and endless meetings. Ideas and suggestions for improvement often get lost in management or are slowed down by lengthy approval processes.
Unfair promotion policy and virtue signaling – Promotions are not always based on performance or competence, but often for political or PR reasons. SAP places great importance on its public image and sometimes seems more concerned with presenting itself as a modern, diverse company on social media than with truly fostering high-performing talent.
