Pros: - Lots of ownership opportunities - Working on the frontier and exposure to the top AI companies and researchers - Very smart and motivated coworkers

Cons: - Very bad WLB (50-60 hour weeks, sometimes 80-100) that is improving - Operations at its core, not working on building AI models but rather the datasets

Pros: - A lot of growth opportunities and far more scope or high-leverage work to go around than there are engineers. - Given a lot of autonomy to define your role, and you can mix engineering, PM, and EM skillsets easily. - Can set boundaries pretty easily because there's always a lot going on, but if you're very intentional about time management and what you take on, then you can focus on the important stuff. - Company is growing exceptionally quickly and pays well.

Cons: - Not a lot of mentorship or structure provided for engineers early in their career - Not enough engineering managers; they exist in every org for a reason. Having someone to push back and prioritize requests from ops would make the product much simpler and life a lot easier.
