Pros: Scrappy professionals who move mountains when we put our minds to it. I can't understate how amazing it is to work with competent people and a leadership team that has a clear strategy that seems like it actually makes sense. The people are enthusiastic about doing great work together and I love that environment. I also love the recent gifts we've been receiving. It was nice getting champagne delivered to my apartment to celebrate hitting a milestone.

Cons: My last manager was stretched very thin. Some of the eng managers have had 15 reports, but we've hired more managers recently who hopefully will help with this.

Pros: - Super smart coworkers - Lots of growth - Great pay

Cons: WLB is not as bad for me as some posts, but it is more than some companies out there. If you want to rest and vest, I would not suggest Scale.

Pros: - Smart and hardworking people - Many opportunities to work on high visibility, and mission critical projects - The company is getting large, but the scrappiness and passion are still very much alive - The company is doing really well and is not that affected by the current market downturn

Cons: - WLB is not comparable to FAANG (40 hours on normal weeks, more when there are important deadlines) though engineering/product is somewhat shielded from the worst. RIP ops. - Management/leadership can be quite junior/green, though external hiring has helped a lot recently. - Priorities shift a lot and very quickly, so be prepared to switch gears fast.
