Pros: The stock price is not bad.

Cons: Terrible management, constant re-orgs, layoffs with no business reason, distributed teams with little remote communication (which gives you reasons to travel all the time), and old technologies in the product. Funny thing is, the cloud-based IT solution provider has no quality internal IT systems in the cloud.

Pros: Good compensation. Stock is doing great. Opportunity to work on challenging problems. It is very easy to get visibility, though the company is expanding.

Cons: Bad work-life balance. No 401K match, and the company doesn't care to improve it. Upper management is rude at times. Luckily, my manager was very polite and did not expose me to them a lot. Lots and lots and lots of internal politics.

Pros: We're medium-sized and growing. There are lots of ways to contribute, and the company is open to all sorts of input and contribution. We want a great culture, but aren't sure how to build it. This is so much better than arrogant companies that sweep the politics under the rug. We want great software and are keenly aware that the "best practices" of today aren't sufficient to address the real-world challenges in creating software for tomorrow, nor do they mean our already-created software doesn't need improving. We also have some great company-wide communication, from people at all levels of the organization. Come add your voice and your camaraderie.

Cons: This is a real company with real challenges. It's not a place where you can simply do what you do well.
