I applied via referral and attended two rounds of interviews over Zoom. Questions were asked on data structures, multithreading, and the basics of OOPs.
Regarding the first interview (round one), I was asked to write Java code to create a deadlock. The interviewer was very helpful and provided hints. The next question was to come up with an algorithm to randomly select an item from a list without selecting an already selected item (like playing a random song from a list of songs). The subsequent question was to write a function using a given function (which returns 1 or 0 with equal probability) that returns 0 with 25% and 1 with 75% probability.
Regarding the next round, I was asked to write code to find the power of a number. The interviewer then asked for all the test cases. The next question was when to use an interface and when to use an abstract class. I answered all questions.
HR did not even show the courtesy of mentioning that they were no longer considering me for further rounds; I saw the status update on the portal.
