In short, I got an offer from the Hiring Manager. It got revoked after 4 weeks.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME interviewing for ServiceNow. They are unreliable and unprofessional.
I had my first phone interview on 06/15. After 2 weeks, I had my second phone screen. On the 22nd of July, I had my on-site interview, and on the 24th, I got an email from the Hiring Manager telling me that she wanted to make me an offer. I was told the recruiter would call me that very day to discuss further.
He did not reach out to me until 10 days after I got the verbal offer. When he called, he asked me how much I expected, and I quoted an amount that was 5k over what my roommate, with the same qualifications as me, gets at ServiceNow. We both have master's degrees.
He told me it was too much and that he would talk to the Hiring Manager and get back to me in two days. That did not happen.
I sent an email to the Hiring Manager after a week, and he called me the next day, telling me that my quote was too high and they had decided to move forward with another candidate who is more experienced than me, on a contract, and that they might convert that to a full-time job later.
I told him I was interested in that and would like to hear more details. He said he would talk to the Hiring Manager and get back to me in two days, and that did not happen.
After a week, I called him today, and he told me they have decided to move forward with another candidate who has more experience, in October, on a contract.
I was really looking forward to working at ServiceNow in the Licensing and Usage Team, and that hope has been completely shattered now. I am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism that they have demonstrated, and I would not recommend anyone to waste their time interviewing with ServiceNow.
Your happiness to have landed a job is only going to last you 4 weeks. All the effort you put in will just go in vain.
