Initially, I attempted to apply online, but I never received a response. Then, a friend who worked there referred me for an internship position.
I received an email from a lead software developer to schedule a phone interview. About a month later, I had a 35-minute conversation with this lead software developer by phone. We spoke about my projects, and he shared a fair bit about the company. At the end of the interview, he mentioned wanting to schedule an in-person interview, and I later received a follow-up email.
Approximately two months later, I had an in-person interview. I was immediately at ease when I met my interviewer. She was very easy to talk to, and it felt like I had known her for six months. She was one of the team leads. We used my resume as a framework for our conversation, which felt more like a discussion than an interview. The interview took place in a small conference room and lasted a little over two hours.
About an hour in, another interviewer joined us. I had the impression that his joining was rather short notice, possibly due to them being double-booked for interviews.
Near the end of the interview, I had the opportunity to ask both of them a few questions.
After the interview, the woman who interviewed me toured me around the office, showed me her workspace, and introduced me to one of the current interns. I also received an email thanking me for coming in.
About a month after that, I received a formal offer by email.
