I was just contacted by HR after speaking at the Career Fair at my university, UCSD.
After that, we set up a Zoom call for the first round of behavioral questions. They then asked about my interests and location preferences.
I was given a list of teams I would be interested in and asked to choose three teams to interview with simultaneously. The first team is my priority, and the manager of that specific team joined the call, along with two other engineers from the other teams.
After choosing my three teams, with my first choice being the priority, I scheduled an interview with the three engineers. I had a one-hour technical interview. They went over my resume in detail for the first 20 minutes.
After that, they gave me one coding question to answer for 30 minutes and asked more technical questions about OOP and testing. A couple of minutes were left at the end for me to ask them questions.
There were only two rounds. I just completed the final interview on Wednesday. HR said I would know the same day if I was chosen, but looking online, other candidates didn't hear back the same day either.
At the end of the interview, the engineers mentioned they needed to write their reports. I'm guessing they need to write feedback and give a score based on the candidate.
I hope to get to work here. It would be a dream come true, honestly.
I'm writing this review before I hear back and before enough time has passed to know if I've been rejected. Hopefully, this shared good insight into how the process went for others.
For the first round, expect behavioral questions. These typically involve scenarios where you'll be asked what you would do and how you would handle them.
For the technical portion, this varies as the manager chose the question himself. He stated, "I chose this question; it's the easiest question, and I just care to know if you can code." I was asked FizzBuzz.
