Web Developer Interview Experience

Process

The interview consisted of a screen and a take-home project, which they projected to take roughly 10 hours.

I consider myself a very diligent developer and never one to back away from a challenge, so I completed the project (yep, it took about 10 hours) according to spec and in their specified framework, which I consider myself to have high proficiency in.

This was enough to warrant an on-site. And this is where I step in and warn you: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

After the on-site, they went full-blown no-contact, even to any follow-up inquiries. This sort of behavior is not only unacceptable in corporate culture but in real life as well. You do NOT straight-up ghost somebody after they have put more than 10 hours of effort into you.

I mean, maybe after a phone screen I can possibly understand, but I am glad I dodged a bullet on Barracuda showing their true character early.
