My best experience was the fact that, as an engineer, you get to dress how you feel comfortable, not necessarily suit up. Work is usually task-based rather than a basic 9-5, unless you have meetings scheduled.
Sometimes the amount of freedom you have can pull you down pretty fast as an intern because you are used to being hands-on managed, rather than having the freedom to plan your tasks.
