Great people, but technology needs improvement
Great people. Good work-life balance. Unlimited vacation. HR/Management does a good job protecting employees.
Internal frameworks are full of bugs, and you aren't allowed to use open source code. It is highly frowned upon and requires special dispensation.
Backwards compatibility leads to a lot of legacy/dead code that you have to build on top of.
Framework authors should be made to spend a day in the life of framework consumers so they can see the pain points of what they've created.
There should be more reactive feedback cycles between California and Chicago.
