Pros
  • My team is not overly busy.
  • Unlimited time off (1 month max limit recommended to managers).
  • Manager is understanding of work-life balance.
  • Coworkers are chill and fun.
  • Work from home is pretty allowed, especially during and after COVID.
Cons
  • There is not a lot of communication from VPs down to teams.
  • Managers aren't very good at helping you move up through to your promotion.
  • Different teams have different workloads. Sometimes crazy busy loads.
  • It depends on the manager, team, and department. Unfortunately, work-life balance is hit or miss depending on the team.
  • Similar to getting help to be promoted, you don't really ever get assigned any new responsibilities or roles. Everyone just has to wait or be in a good relationship with the director to get recognized for promotion.
  • Entry-level positions are only posted and given to interns. Very few are ever posted externally.
  • Switching to a remote role is limited based on the department director and based on the destination being close to an SN office.
Advice to Management

Maintain work-life balance across teams and departments. Lower workload and be aware of capacity and stress. Set up paths for people to move up and across the company. Encourage mentoring and guidance. Allow people to move, and don't be afraid of remote positions. Allow external entry-level candidates, not just interns.
