I applied online, and a recruiter contacted me a couple of weeks later. The first "interview" was a quick five-minute call. The recruiter asked why I was interested, what languages I was familiar with, what my last internship was, and if I had any questions.
My second interview was scheduled, then rescheduled because the interviewer was double-booked. When the interview finally occurred, it was a thirty-minute Skype chat. There were no technical questions; I was asked about my life story. The same recruiter also asked all the same questions from the initial five-minute call. They said I would hear back in a week.
More than a week passed, so I reached out to the recruiter. I was told that they had moved on with other candidates who "better fit their needs." They also stated that many applicants are hired on their second or third application.
Overall, I felt the interview process did not explore my technical potential. This is perhaps expected, as it is a company with a very strong culture. It is hard to pinpoint where exactly one lacked with an interview process like this, as my resume was not discussed, nor was my technical background.
The barrage of open-ended questions.
