They found me on GitHub/LinkedIn and called me to start the process.
First, there was a very nice Skype call. They told me there were a few steps: a technical call with a developer, and then I would have to go to Toronto for a face-to-face interview to meet the team.
A few months later, they emailed me again to arrange the technical call. The interviewer looked very tired, but it went well, even though he didn't ask me anything relevant. It seemed he was trying to show off his skills instead of asking me questions.
Again, several weeks passed without any contact. Then they sent me a code challenge, which was not in the original interviewing process. Yet, I was okay with it because it was very easy: an URL Shortener.
I finished the code in less than a week, sent it, and then got a month without an answer. After a month, I emailed the recruiter, and he told me that they had hired another developer.
So, basically, they seem like a very nice company, like a huge startup, with hack days, nice videos on their YouTube channel, and cool stuff every day. But in reality, they're even worse than other companies because they promise something they're not.
Anyway, it was one of the worst interviewing processes I have ever been through.
