Shopify has a very different and awesome interview process, which is described on their website.

During my interview process, I spoke with people who were very friendly and polite.

The first step was a quick chat with one of their tech leads, to discuss the software development process at Shopify and to learn more about the position.

After that, I had the "Life Story" interview with a recruiter, who was interested in learning more about my life and career.

And then I had a technical interview with a developer lead.

This third interview disappointed me because I was expecting the technical interviews to be different as well, but it was actually a Google-like interview, focused on solving tricky and meaningless algorithms problems.

Well, unfortunately, my recommendation to anyone who wants to pass those technical interviews is to read books like "Cracking the Coding Interview" and memorize as many algorithms as you can.

I hope someday they realize the problems with that kind of technical interview and change it.
