Applied online. There was no contact with a real person, only an email about scheduling a coding interview.

The coding interview went fine, and I thought it was an easy LRU cache problem. It was of the entry-level problem type, without much diving into actual experience building a product.

It took a few days, but I was rejected at that stage without any explanation why. The reason given was the typical HR speak of "doesn't fit with what we're looking at right now." This was surprising, as I am at a Staff Engineer level with lots of Ruby experience.

The recruiter refused to give specific feedback, even when asked directly. It felt like a total waste of my time.
