Good starting salary but poor management and no growth
There is a pretty good starting salary for Canada. There are good people and a nice office.
Management is all eyes and no ears. You can't really move to full-time since apparently you need to sell your soul and free time just for a chance to be considered.
Expect to have a billion tabs open and to be juggling five tickets at once, with the manager pinging you every hour to ask if it's done and to berate you that you are not using AI more to get it done faster.
There is no career progression. Only seniors are hired, and everyone else is fired.
They don't listen, but good luck in ten years when you will have only ten senior dev degree engineers because you fired everyone else.
