Pros

There are growth opportunities and the option to be remote if you look for that. You get large exposure to customer-facing problems and an understanding of how the business works. It is a good opportunity for Canadians to get experience at a legit large software company. There are also good travel and health benefits.

Cons

There was top-down pressure to use AI tooling to generate subpar code by people who don't understand generative AI and neural networks. The CEO has severe Dunning-Kruger syndrome, which permeates into mid-management as well. They pay Canadian salaries to Americans, where a Canadian mid-level is considered an American junior. There were very little incentives to actually get along with your coworkers versus outcompeting them.

Advice to Management

There needs to be more managerial pushback on the emphasis for short-term growth while ignoring long-term stability. The stock is already extremely overvalued at a P/E 5-6x Google's, and there will be a crash in the price and market cap. Do you feel ready to deal with tech bloat on top of that?
