Process

I was reached out to after applying for the position online a few days later.

Throughout the process, I worked with a recruiter who managed all of the scheduling. The scheduling was fairly rigid.

The interview process consisted of several steps:

  • The first step was an hour-long conversation with the hiring manager, covering the job description and a resume-based interview.
  • The second step was an hour-long interview with a technical architect. This included a pseudocode exercise aimed at testing requirement gathering and general software engineering skills, with a focus on a full-stack mindset.
  • Following the exercise, there was more resume drilling and in-depth technical knowledge questions.
  • The last step was an hour-long conversation with a product owner, featuring a classic behavioral interview format (e.g., "tell me about a time when...").

Overall, Siemens interviews thoroughly scrutinize your resume. Be prepared to discuss anything in detail, especially the technologies you list.

The process moves somewhat slowly. Besides interviews two and three, there was a week to a week and a half between correspondences.
