I have 3.5 years of experience in C#, WPF, WCF, and SQL. I received a call from Siemens via Naukri.com.
The interview process took only 2-3 hours.
The first round was a technical interview. I couldn't crack it. I don't know why. He seemed positive, but he said I could leave for the day. Perhaps due to our last conversation, he was saying that there are many projects in WinForms and asked if I was comfortable with them. I then said I didn't want to work on WinForms.
Introduce yourself.
Then he asked about in which area I am comfortable: SQL or C#?
What are the pillars of OOP?
What is function overloading and overriding called?
Is function overriding compile-time?
Then he gave me this program:
csharp Class A { public void print() { print("a"); } }
Class B : A { public void print() { print("b"); } }
He asked if this would be compiled.
If it compiled, what would be the output of:
A a = new A();
B b = new B();
If I made the print method of class A virtual and overrode it in class B, what would be the output of question 2?
If I have a class C: csharp class C : A, B {}
Suppose I have two interfaces for classes A and B: csharp class C : IA, IB { public void print() { print("c"); } }
Will this be compiled?
Then he asked me about the using keyword.
using (A a = new A())
Have you seen such a syntax anywhere?
Do you know what Dispose and IDisposable are?
What is a destructor?
Then he moved to WPF.
He drew a ComboBox with template items (name, age, photo) and then:
sal > 1000 and green color if sal < 1000.Then he moved to threading.
I have a textbox and two threads running in parallel. One is writing something in that textbox, and another is changing its color. Will this code work?
Have you used delegates and where?
