The subject matter experts at this company are very smart, very great people.
Many of the staff are great too.
The compensation was great.
The work subject was also pretty interesting.
Current top management doesn't seem to know what they're doing. The IT department took weeks to provide the right types of access. The network security is overzealous and makes it very hard to get anything done. The contractors coming and going overall are not well treated.
Give power to the smart people who are well liked by their employees. Absolutely everyone knows who the bad manager is, making stupid decisions and being mean or derogatory. Simply look at the surveys, which are already being done. Ask the lower-rank workers and get the bad managers removed.
