Salary is good. Co-workers are awesome. The level of expertise, experience, and knowledge is outstanding. Lots of PTO if you don't get sick. Training is available but must be approved by budget and is frequently denied.
Siemens engineering - absolutely dominated by white males.
Diversity does not exist. Pretty much a good old boy's club that dictates performance rating, perks, and compensation.
Management is too worried about corporate Siemens and has no clue what is going on.
Vacation and sick time is now all PTO. If you have an operation (or maternity leave), you are forced to use all PTO so you do not have 1 day of vacation for the rest of the year.
Leave your sacred hallway. Stop hiding behind meetings and busy schedules. Walk around. Talk to your people. Introduce yourself and try learning names. Make an effort to understand the barriers that prevent people from excelling.
