Pros
  • Friendly environment
  • 3 sick days per year
  • Circa 5 bridge days per year
  • Various benefits (like vouchers, etc. - 150 EUR/year)
  • Team building actions 1-2 per year
  • International company - you are using foreign language(s) daily
  • Stable job (if your project ends, they try to find you a new position, not fire you)
Cons
  • A lot of internal technologies, so you are unable to use that knowledge in another company.
  • Relatively low salary compared to other companies in the same city.
  • Your career growth is absolutely not in your hands. (By this, I don't mean like: I will be the boss of this company one day. I mean growing in terms of knowledge of technologies of your choice. They are deciding what you will focus on, not you.)
  • Switching between projects doesn't exist, even though it is promised in the interview.
  • No time to learn new things, only what is really necessary to do your current task. (Kind of the same, an extension to point 3 in cons.)
  • A lot of projects are relics of history, using outdated technologies.
Advice to Management

Long-term unhappy people are leaving. Think about your promise of the ability to be moved between projects when people ask for it, not only when management in Germany decides to move someone elsewhere.

Salaries can also be higher. I am unable to use 50% of my knowledge elsewhere because of internal technologies.

Promised things (in general, it doesn't matter what) should be done, not postponed, and postponed, and changed.
