Process

He asked me a lot of questions about my projects, like tech stacks and how I implemented different technologies. I also shared the deployment link of the project with him. He seemed very impressed with my projects and development knowledge. He again asked me some follow-up questions, and I was able to answer most of them. This gave me good confidence for the next questions.

Questions

He wrote an array of questions with some test cases. I was expected to write code (you don't have to run the code). Instead of writing the code, I first explained my approach. I started with a naive approach and then optimized it to be the most efficient. Then he asked me about the time and space complexities of all the approaches. I explained 90% of the code orally. Then he asked to write the code on the codeshare. I quickly wrote the code with proper comments, explaining the code and time complexities. I explained the dry run, and he checked the code. It was correct. “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” – Albert Einstein
