Only a few female engineers. Many old guys who are not so smart but get higher salaries
Equal opportunities, even for women. Easy to get maternity leave, and returning is welcomed. Good salary overall, comparing to other Japanese electrical companies. Good name value, even in foreign countries. Good circumstances to discuss and suggest to bosses.
Many inefficient older employees entered, especially during the "bubble period".
There is an "expert system" for which the company doesn't pay overtime wages but accepts flex-time work. However, HR is counting employees who arrive after 9:30 am and warns of no promotion or penalties if we cannot come to the office before 9:30 am.
This is not a written rule, and for the mass media, the company shows that we have flex-time work. Basically, HR is not helpful at all, even if we have troubles or ask anything.
Please stop promotion by seniority and be much more international. Basically, managements who are based in Japan can't speak English well.
