I had set up an interview with the recruiter. The interviewer didn't show up. When I asked, the recruiter said the interviewer called in sick but forgot to let me know. I'm pretty sure this is BS.
The recruiter told me it would not be a LeetCode interview. Well, the interviewer didn't apologize for rescheduling and he asked a LeetCode problem. I solved it, not optimally, but I answered his questions about alternatives.
He then proceeded to lecture me, saying to make sure I know what I'm talking about as people are anal there. I don't know what else I could have done; I solved his silly problem and clearly explained alternatives.
Companies that don't know how to evaluate talent ask silly coding problems which have very little to do with the job. What a waste of time!
