I spoke with HR for a few minutes over the phone. The call included general screening questions like:

• "Why do you want to work for us?"
• "Tell me a little bit about a recent project."

I passed this initial screening and scheduled another phone interview with my potential supervisor.

This second interview was longer, lasting about 30 minutes. It was roughly 60/40 split between basic technical questions and standard interview fare.

The interviewer sounded extremely worn out and was not very dynamic. It became clear by the end that they were looking for someone with a different skill set than mine.

I was told I would receive a call back within two weeks.

About a week later, I received the expected call from HR, which confirmed my suspicions.
