I submitted my resume through a current SpaceX employee to the SpaceX HR department and was strung along for a while.
When the HR person received my resume, they called right away, leaving a message to set up a time for a phone interview. I called back within the hour, and the interview was set for the following day. They were to call me, and I waited 20 minutes past our agreed-to time before calling them.
At that moment, they were too busy to talk and asked if they could call me back the following day. They never did.
I followed up with an email and heard nothing. A few weeks later, I received an email from them apologizing and asking for a time in the next few days we could talk. I replied within the hour, telling them I was available anytime the following day. They never called.
It was quite frustrating.
