Process

The recruiter called to ask about my interests, then said she would schedule me for a technical interview with the propulsion lead.

The call with the propulsion lead lasted about 30 minutes and was incredibly difficult. This was my first-ever technical interview, and I didn't know what to expect.

He asked me about my experiences and posed questions to delve deeper. The topics covered thermo/fluid dynamics as well as structural mechanics.

Questions

A uniformly heated pipe is connected to walls on either side of its length.

What failure mode(s) should you expect, and where?
