Process
Great interview experience; the job didn't work out, but the interview process went great.
They required a PowerPoint presentation of achievements to complete the interview. This was the first time I'd experienced this, but it could be a great way to showcase past experiences.

Supportive colleagues but poor middle management and high turnover
Ground Segment Engineer • Former Employee
Hawthorne, CA
August 29, 2026
Pros: - The people you work with are all in the same mindset, and you feel part of the company pushing the aerospace industry forward.
- One of the fastest moving industries where crazy ideas are developed.
- Lots of career opportunities once you enter the company.
Cons: - Middle management is not good. They will shuffle you around and put you under people that don't know your job (or even theirs). Over 10 people left/let go in my team in under 1 year and they don't blink an eye at management as the problem. They will kill morale to check boxes.
- After almost 11 years with the company, they gave me the boot and only 2 months of severance

Cons: Work life balance is horrible;
Elon Musk;

LA Traffic;
Everyone drinks the Kool-Aid about how cool SpaceX is, when it is just a government contracting company.
