Pros: Fast pace, forward-thinking company. At SpaceX, you are given freedom (in my experience). This works great for some, but can be a limitation for others. Note that I had worked here for 5 years, and I worked at a "competitor" (using that term loosely); so, I am biased and returned because I missed the energy and my team.

Cons: Location. However, it is worth the hassle of the commute.

Pros: Compensation is strong after accounting for RSU/ISOs. There is a major mission that the company is working toward, and people generally care and want to do good work.

Cons: Some leadership can be focused on the technical and not actual management.

Pros: I've worked at SpaceX for over a decade. It is full of innovative people who love a challenge, and value achieving amazing things. The work is never boring. The goals are inspiring. The people I work with are motivated, hard-working, and friendly. Leadership is focused, flexible, wise, and technically excellent.

Cons: Lately, lots of negative media coverage despite SpaceX being a very safe, diverse, and engaging workplace environment. The media used to love SpaceX, and the company has only become better over time, so I'm guessing this'll unfortunately ebb and flow with the political landscape. Some people may say that work/life balance is difficult, but not in my experience.
