Process

The interview process, from the initial phone call to the final interview, took around a month. I felt very welcomed and met the team on site. Unfortunately, I did not perform my best because I was nervous and was not able to answer some of their technical questions. I did not pass the final interview.

Interview process:

  • Phone call with the recruiter to chat about the position, my qualifications, and basic interview questions.
  • Phone call with the lead software engineer to discuss projects and experience, followed by technical questions regarding my projects. We also discussed scalability questions, which were a very big part of the interview.
  • Given an OA (Online Assessment) to complete within 48 hours, requiring me to create a visualization from scratch.
  • If the OA was satisfactory, I was flown over for an on-site interview where I presented my OA.
  • After the presentation, I attended four 45-minute 1-on-1 interviews with other engineers, which were mostly technical.

Questions

Asked how I would design and translate my OA project from JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to React.js.
