Managers use metrics to show themselves and promote their own careers. They will throw you under the bus in an instant. Keep your opinions to yourself and your friendships elsewhere. It is a very clique culture and you never know who is who.
Top level management is amazing, but some of the local managers are basically analysts who self-promote their agenda.
