Extreme rate of hands-on learning and seeing things come to fruition, with relatively low politics.
Long work hours. This is unsustainable if you want to have a life outside work.

SpaceX Interview Experiences
Mech Engineer
Very technical with lots of engineer basic questions. Most of the interview was behavior based, but the last 15-30 mins was tech questions that covered a wide range of engineering basics from strength of materials to heat transfer laws.
Associate Engineer
I had one interview with a maintenance engineer, and then the next interview with a team lead. Pretty simple and straightforward technical questions. No behavioral questions at all, however. Not bad overall.
