Process
The interview process began with a phone interview, followed by a pair coding review.
The coding review was conducted remotely and was an unpleasant experience.
It was very difficult to hear the interviewer, as they were on speakerphone. Someone else was clearly in the room but remained silent, which created a strange atmosphere.
While the interviewer was evidently very senior and accomplished, they struggled to communicate their expectations for the session effectively.
Questions
They asked how a particular UI element would work in terms of the JavaScript used to put it together.
