Great culture, very exciting times in engineering with new and innovative products being built.
Great work/life balance, no pressure or feeling of 'I need to stay super late to finish this to get ahead of peers so I can get my promo'.
Perks: Generally seem to be on the uptick, every all-hands announces something.
They spend a lot of money catering food for all the meetings, and then there are leftovers. They should just officially support catered lunch every day of the week.
401K needs to be more competitive. We should match Facebook, Google, etc. That is the caliber of engineering we have.
It seems like we think of Splunk as "An Enterprise Company" instead of as a "Tech Company". I think that needs to change, since the engineering and culture are very much that of a "Tech Company". The perks, pay, etc., should match.
They canceled the interview even though I passed the previous round. They didn't give me any reason, either. This totally wasted my time, especially since they reached out to me with the opportunity.
The interview process is two 45-minute technical interviews with a Senior Software Engineer and a Software Engineer, and one 30-minute interview with a Senior Manager. There are three algorithms questions and some basic knowledge about JavaScript.
Very bad experience. The manager seemed mean, didn't ask any questions, and didn't answer any questions. They briefly introduced their team, then asked a very simple coding question. It felt like they didn't really want to hire anyone. A total waste
