Process

One phone screen and then an onsite interview.

The onsite (which was virtual) included system design, coding, technical problems, and one other interview where you review code.

I was impressed with the whole process. The thing that I really liked about the technical aspects of the interview was that it was really about skills that you actually use during a programming job, instead of the algorithm problems that some companies try to make you do (which you would inevitably look up and think about when you encountered them in real life).

The code review interview was also a really interesting approach, but it makes so much sense. Most people spend the majority of their time reviewing and reading code. It is an incredibly valuable skill, and interviewing people on it is a great idea.

The recruiter that I had from Squarespace for the interview process was amazing. She was very communicative the whole time, answered any questions I had, and made sure that I was greatly prepared for everything. She really built a connection with me, remembered my kids' names, etc. It just showed that it is a company that cares about its people, and that meant a lot to me.
