The interview process began with an initial screen with a recruiter, followed by a coding session with an engineer.
Surprisingly, the coding session had no apparent connection to backend engineering or API development. Despite this, I successfully completed the challenge and all test cases within the allotted time. I was also able to ask questions to the employee during the session.
The following day, I received a message informing me that they would not be moving forward with my application.
Notably, my eight years of prior experience were not discussed or inquired about.
It was an odd experience.
Scenario around a log of store closures (whether the store contained customers or not) and different intervals of time the store was closed. Depending on whether the store was closed and if there were customers, a penalty would be added. The goal was to estimate the maximum penalty based on these conditions.
Three different test cases to apply and test.
