I applied online.
Applied for a Backend Engineer role and passed the HackerRank screening. After the recruiter screening, a coding round was scheduled, but the interviewer never showed up.
After waiting for the interviewer, I reached out multiple times via email over several weeks but received no response, not even a basic acknowledgment. Stripe's engineering culture is well regarded, but the candidate experience here was unprofessional and a significant waste of preparation time. Candidates deserve at least a courtesy reply.
