Applied with an employee referral.
Contacted by a recruiter, who asked a few questions to verify my resume. I was told about the company, culture, and teams.
The recruiter sent an invite to fill my availabilities on an online calendar.
I received an auto-email confirming one of the date/times for the phone coding interview.
I completed the Zoom video conference and CoderPad coding interview successfully within the given time, including the writing tests. I had more than 25-30 minutes to chat with the interviewer after submitting the solution. I asked a few questions and completed the interview. The interviewer said I would be contacted for the next steps by the recruiter this week.
The day after the coding interview, I received an email stating: "Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with us. We've had a chance to sync as a team and, unfortunately, we've decided not to move forward with your candidacy."
I asked if there was a mistake, but received no response.
The result is negative:
To be honest, I am surprised. If they didn't like my resume, why did they move forward with the phone coding interview, and why did they waste my time and their time?
Multiple operations on a one-dimensional array of hash records. (While writing this review, I still have the active Coderpad link but am not sharing.)
