Process

They focus more on development rather than DSA. You also need to do this really fast after looking at a huge codebase.

  • The first interview will be a feature development round for 1 hour, with some GitHub issues to be resolved.
  • The second one is a bug bash, where there will be some failing test cases you need to fix. Finding why the tests are failing is the focus. This round is much more difficult in C++ as they will mostly give you some legacy C code converted into a C++ file. This round made me feel like I wasn't ready for placements.
  • The third round is a managerial chat, a short 30 minutes with resume and HR questions.

Questions

The first round had a question where I was basically writing functions to print pixels for different characters of the alphabet. It was a simple pattern printing question but required logic to convert the given encoding to the pattern.

Bug squash had issues such as a space being added before a string as a key in a map, which was causing problems. I needed to find all locations where something was being added to the map and remove any leading spaces. Around 4-5 tests like this needed to be passed.
