Software Engineer Interview Experience - Malden, Massachusetts

October 1, 2017

Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Same rejection happened here, only half an hour after the interview. All test cases passed, and the interviewer gave positive feedback. It was a fake interview, no doubt, just a waste of time. It's not even worth applying.

Stripe Work Experiences

Opportunity to make a big impact, but the process is getting worse

Software Engineer • Current Employee

Pros: Stripe runs its teams very lean, which means each engineer has a lot of impact on their product and its users. Teammates are almost universally great: kind, empathetic, and always competent.

Cons: As the company grows, the process is growing too, along with bureaucracy. The appetite for risk is decreasing. This is making it harder to ship features, but I think we'll figure things out in the next year.
