First, there was a HackerRank challenge, then three coding interviews over Zoom, and finally the manager chat.
I enjoyed all the coding interviews. They were not too difficult, I could use any language and editor I wanted, and the interviewers were very nice and helpful.
The final chat with the manager was also nice. I received compliments about my code during the coding interviews, and the manager also said he liked my CV a lot.
Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer in the end, and the feedback I received was very unspecific.
The coding problems were not truly algorithmic but closer to tasks a software engineer might solve in an everyday job. These tasks included parsing HTTP headers or making calls to a third-party API.
During the manager chat, I was asked classic questions, such as the biggest challenges I encountered in previous jobs.
The interviewers were all easygoing, happy to give me more time to think or even to help answer questions.
