Work/life balance is poor for large swaths of the company.
Performance is your entire job. Management incentivizes making performance sound great, not merely good, and a lot of areas are absolutely drowning in technical debt and new system syndrome as a result.
Impostor syndrome is rampant.
Be meticulous about the foundations. Lots of critical areas are understaffed, and people are burning out. Middle management is putting people where the incentives lie, and that's not on keeping the lights on.
My recruiter contacted me 30 minutes before the interview to say they could not make it. They specifically said they would reschedule, then ghosted. Some would say it is unprofessional to cancel an interview with such short notice, but in my opinion
I applied online. Took an online assessment consisting of one coding problem in multiple parts. Then took a technical screen that wasn't necessarily DSA, but something you would actually see as a problem at Stripe.
First round: OA - OA has 4 parts - Transactions to merchant logic Second round: Screen Technical - 45 mins to go through leetcode and 15 mins debrief + behaviour Last round: Virtual Onsite Loop 1. Technical 2. Bug Bash 3. Behaviour
