Pros: Good salary and other benefits. Fast-paced. Developing mobile technologies. Career growth is nice. A good place to work. Experience with so much information. Work-life balance is also ok. Tries to implement good stuff from the parent company.

Cons: Too much politics, which actually hampers productivity.

Pros: • Engineering teams aim to keep time spent in meetings to a minimum. • The HQ at World Trade Center 3 is nice, and the subway station exits directly into the building, and it is convenient to take the elevator down to the attached shopping mall and grab a coffee. • Generous base pay.

Cons: • Not enough focus on product quality, and some teams seem unbothered by shipping frustrating experiences. • A poorly maintained development environment that yields nearly 2-minute wait times for incremental builds of the frontend. • An incomprehensible performance review system that occurs “periodically,” with no accompanying compensation adjustments, no peer feedback, and no formal process for providing feedback to one’s manager. • While discussion and debate among engineers are encouraged, senior management is sensitive to dissenting opinions. Some leaders view their positions as above discussion. • Itchy trigger finger: you’ll meet a lot of people if you join because you’ll be losing teammates to termination, resignation, and reorganization on a regular basis. By the end of my time at the company, I saw my entire team dispatched within a year. I’ve been through reorganizations before, but I’ve never seen an entire team turnover in 12 months.

Pros: Cutting edge technology * Opportunity to work with data mining of highly complex data. * Opportunity to earn free tickets to events. * Great year end presents like Apple TV, iPod, etc.

Cons: Occasional blame games between teams. Some folks worried more about the limelight than the work. Sometimes too much work and a lack of work-life balance.
